Responsibilities:

  • Principal duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following, which indicates the general nature of work expected:
  • Repairs and maintenances of all types of refrigeration equipment such as walk-in cold-room and freezer rooms and other commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment.
  • Repairs and maintenance of air conditioning equipment such as window units, package units, and fan coil units.
  • Principal duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following, which indicates the general nature of work expected:
  • Repairs and maintenances of all types of refrigeration equipment such as walk-in cold-room and freezer rooms and other commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment.
  • Repairs and maintenance of air conditioning equipment such as window units, package units, and fan coil units.
  • Carries out an electric arc or oxyacetylene welding.
  • Carries out air-conditioning and refrigeration preventive and routine maintenance.  Attends to repairs and maintenance of refrigeration equipment electrical control system.
  • Responds to a guest’s maintenance request within 15 minutes of receipt of the same.
  • Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair.  Always maintains a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guestroom or public area.
  • Ensures that the plant rooms, workshops, and related areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Observes prescribed safety standards.  Helps maintain safe conditions for self and others.
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Interacts with other departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions, and festivities.

General Responsibilities:

  • Complies with Company and Department Standards; Policies and Procedures; Rules and Regulations; the Staff Handbook - as they may be amended from to time, all of which form part of the staff agreed with the Hotel.
  • Corrects timekeeping.
  • Adheres to the grooming policy including the wearing of name badges.
  • Delivers a high standard of work performance and customer service, including handling and processing customer complaints and queries correctly.
  • Cooperates and communicates with management, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure effective workflow.
  • Carries out reasonable instructions of management in respect of the agreed work.
  • Is aware of and adheres to the Fire and Life Safety standards of the Company ensuring to report any risks to Management.
  • Acquires good knowledge of all Hotel facilities and developments in the Company.
  • Attends meetings and training sessions requested by Management.
  • Maintains the departmental area in a safe, hygienic, and presentable state, reporting risks and needs to management.
  • Complies with UAE Labor Law.
  • He/she is fully accountable for FSMS policy and requirements which are in place.
  • He/she reports to the immediate supervisor any potential hazard or any sign of potential contamination including pest infestation.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time like your Supervisor or Manager directed.
