We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to join our F&B leadership team at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. You will be responsible for supporting the Director of Food & Beverage in the overall administration and operation of the Food & Beverage department.

You will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To assist the Director of Food and Beverage in the day to day running of the division, and will act as deputy in the absence of the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • To ensure the profitability, efficiency and creativity in each Food and Beverage outlet including banquet functions, outside catering events and in-room dining.
  • To analyse and control food and beverage costs in order to achieve financial targets.
  • To identify areas for improvement in service and food & beverage quality by reviewing various service quality audit reports, guest comment cards and guest incident reports, and formulate action plans.
  • To encourage proactive, efficient and effective inter-departmental communication in order to promote a climate of teamwork and enthusiasm.
  • To ensure that the health and safety company standards are maintained and carried out. They must be monitored regularly to ensure maximum compliance on the MOHG health and safety audit.
  • To develop and implement and maintain the Standard Operating Procedures for the Division.
  • To ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance to standards and procedures manual and the Legendary Quality Experience (LQE).
  • To maintain a team of well-trained and motivated colleagues in order to deliver a high level of service according to Group’s and international luxury hotel standards.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience in a luxury 5* hotel and luxury hospitality setting and previous experience in a similar role. You will show excellent leadership and communication across all levels in the business. We are looking for candidates who are flexible and adaptable and looking for a new challenge. You will be an expert in quality standards of service and have excellent financial acumen and organisation.
