Duties and Supporting Responsibilities

    • To implement the MOHG Security Policies, Standards and Guidelines in the context of the circumstances and conditions of the hotel.
  • Be intimately knowledgeable of Health, Safety, Fire and Security related rules and regulations pertaining to MOIST Hotel and all shared areas with the Company Management.
  • To prepare the relevant fire safety procedures, standard operation manuals (SOP) according to Mandarin Oriental (Safe & Sound) group standards. These documents are kept up to date.
  • Provide supervisory guidance and support to all colleagues in the Security Department.
  • Create a safe and secure environment for all guests, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Coordinate and arrange all operational details pertaining to safety and security in connection with VIP visits.
  • Develop and implement the Standard Operating Procedures for the department.
  • Support to conduct business contingency plan, crisis management, workplace violence prevention along with disaster preparedness plans.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for all employees on all OSHA related rules, regulations and in emergency procedure preparedness.
  • Review and follow-up on all incident, loss and accident, shift, MOD, and night manager reports.
  • Utilize security resources with respect to provide best possible proactive plus reactive measures to minimize property loss.
  • Ensure to practice procedures to lessen personal injury, property damage, situations or near miss issues impacting negative on organization and take corrective preventative measures.
  • Implement hotels key control program.
  • Responsible for the fire life safety policies and procedures as legislated by local rules and regulations.
  • Oversee the security candidate selection and staffing.
  • Oversee performance of 24/7 Security Staff, varied third-party contracted relationships and Event Security Staff.
  • Protection of hotel assets.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other departments and contractors.
  • Carry out risk assessments in the workplace for the Security Department and support Department Heads in completing their own assessments.
  • Replace the DOS during his absence as the main contact and coordinate annual MOHG internal Safe & Sound audit, safe hotels certification and other possible international audits.
  • Set examples for all colleagues to emulate by complying with all hotel policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high ethical standard the Security colleagues would emulate.
  • Conduct daily hazard patrols, communicating findings to relevant Associates for action in compliance to MOIST Risk Assessment strategies
  • Conduct regular patrols of the compound with an emphasis is on public areas and means of escape. To ensure that MOIST grooming standards are consistently maintained.
  • Creation and provision of Lost and Found processes throughout the building.
  • Communicate any incident to Director of security, Manager on duty.
  •  to ensure personal compliance with the Data Protection Act, (KVKK), (GDPR) and any other specific legislation that impacts upon, and exists to protect, the corporate health of the organization, whether relating to personnel management or service delivery.

Requirements

  • University diploma; Further education in security administration or similar field will be an asset.
  • CPR & First Aid Certificate.
  • At least 2 years working experience in a luxury hospitality environment at a managerial level.
  • Good communication skills, pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills – must be fluent in English and Turkish both written and verbal.
  • Must have strong knowledge of FLHSS (Fire, Life, Health, Safety, and Security) related rules and legislations.
  • Confident, approachable, professional, able to motivate his/her team under pressure, and use diplomacy to handle different situations.
  • Must possess excellent leadership skills and organisational skills.
  • Flexible work hours to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation. Especially pm shifts and weekend.
