We are recruiting an Assistant Room Service Manager

Main Responsibilities: 

  • To supervise and participate in running of an efficient and profitable operation in the areas for which you are responsible. Liaise with your manager to actively encourage a professional and dedicated team.
  • To supervise colleagues to consistently achieve the service and product delivery standards with a high degree of client care and service at all times
  • To co-ordinate the service of food and beverage efficiently and accurately.
  • To report and follow up all maintenance defaults affecting efficient and professional delivery of service.
  • To involve with service related to VIP guests
  • To respond proactively to guest queries, ensuring that appropriate action is taken in the absence of the manager/assistant, followed by effective communication
  • To perform and check all duties related to in-room-dining check list
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Room Service Manager
  • To carry out and supervise daily, weekly and monthly inventory
  • To maintain and order all the store requisition
  • To prepare and control tables before being delivered to the rooms
  • To conduct daily communication meeting with staff prior to shift
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage to be able to service and up-sell the product
  • Coordinate all aspects of service to include but not limited to:
    • Food and beverage requirements
    • Special attention guests
    • Table setup
    • Special requests
    • Complimentary dessert/ drinks etc.
    • Billing instructions
    • Authorized signatures

Job Requirements:

  • High School qualification or equivalent
  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred
  • A minimum of 2/3 years of experience as Assistant IRD Manager
  • French & English mandatory
  • Standards driven and motivational leader
  • The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for service, food, lots of flair and creativity
  • You will have exceptional inter-personal, management and organizational skills.
  • Must be of smart appearance with excellent personal hygiene standards
