  • Ensures total coverage of GCC and regional markets.
  • Inspires, leads and manages sales team by establishing strong drive for results culture, communicating targets and strategies and providing frequent feedback where necessary to manage performance.
  • Analysis local market trends and competitor activities to identify business leads.
  • Produces actions plans to ensure budgeted figures are achieved and follows up with sales team to ensure these are carried out and adapted as market conditions change.
  • Enhances the image of the hotel in the local community.
  • Participates in the local community though associations, memberships and other trade organizations.
  • Effectively monitors and analyses variations to the hotel segmentation budget and make recommendations short, mid and long term.
  • Assists in compiling annual hotel plan.
  • Ensures training needs of department are carried out.
  • Coaches, counsels and disciplines team where necessary.
  • Monitors market and competition and reports on threats and opportunities.
  •  Set up and maintain good working relationship with all other areas of the hotel’s operations, such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, Finance, Reservations, etc
  • Manage a practical / organized Sales Trip calendar all over GCC countries.
  • Follow-up with clients before, during and after the function/ event/ stay to ensure repeat business.
  • Handle complaints and pass to Director of Sales.
  • Follow-up leads provided by Global Sales Offices. 
  • Provide Director of Sales with Weekly Sales Report.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment  with proven records of closing sales.
  • Previous experience in the GCC is a must.
  • Experience in representing hotel at trade shows and sales missions.
  • Must be excellent in using computer and well versed in all computer applications.
  • Mature and outgoing with excellent interpersonal skills for both external and internal customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
  • Effectively develop, implement, monitor and control strategies and goals.
  • Positive attitude and good communicator.
  • Ability to plan and organize workload.
  • Effective time management, communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
  • Able to solve problems.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of customer service.
  • Fluent in English.
