Our Hotel

With 326 guest rooms and 31 suites, Mandarin Oriental, Miami is located in Brickell Key and is a prime location for both business and leisure guests.  It is an urban resort with Miami’s only private beach.

Overview of Position

We are looking for an Catering & Conference Services Concierge for our Catering and Conference Services Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing Assistance to Conference Services Managers and Executive Meeting Managers
  • Executing Banquet Event Orders
  • Reading and understanding Group Resumes
  • Inputting information into Delphi
  • Attending pre-conference meetings 
  • Attending all relevant hotel meetings
  • Communicate all group information/changes to existing information to appropriate hotel colleagues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Visit all primary and secondary competition
  • Remain available to hotel colleagues via radio (with earpiece) while on property
  • Report any changes made by client to CSM and pertinent departments
  • Create and post appropriate door and directional signage as directed by banquet event orders, clients and/or CSM
  • Coordinate box receiving, shipping and delivery
  • Assist in reporting and maintaining up-keep of function rooms
  • Ordering and par stocking supplies for group office set-ups
  • Know and understand all aspects of conferences as assigned by Director of department
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Director of department.

The Catering and Conference Services Concierge will report directly to the Director of Conference Services.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 1 years experience in the similar position, preferably in a luxury setting.

• Flexible schedule is required, including some evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Have excellent communication and organization skills.

• Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation. 

• Must be detailed oriented, excellent computer skills necessary.

• Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.

• Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are necessary.

• Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.

• Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.

• Able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest.

• Able to handle guest requests in a detailed manner.
