Main Responsibilities:

  • Assists with organizing special events and special food promotions.
  • Ensures that the reputation and image of assigned restaurant reflects the highest possible standard and is reputed as Dining Venue with consistent quality in town.
  • Recommends menu price adjustments when necessary. 
  • Determines selling prices of unlisted food items in conjunction with Executive Chef
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge including ingredients, equipment, suppliers, markets, and current trends and make recommendations for appropriate adjustments to kitchen operations accordingly.
  • Checks with maintenance that all kitchen equipment is functioning properly.
  • Makes an attempt to prevent damage or loss of equipment.  (Instructs culinary crews on how to use kitchen equipment properly).
  • To be aware of all hotel polices & procedures
  • Assists in training needs analysis of culinary crews and ensure that training programs are designed and implemented to meet those needs.
  • Provides input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions in line with company guidelines.
  • Approves leave after considering hotel occupancy.
  • Works with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget.
  • Demonstrates Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same.
  • To be responsible for the daily order of food products and all internal kitchen transfers.

  • Middle East experience, preferably in luxury restaurant or five star hotel / resort.
  • Ability to multi-task and delegate.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good sense for organization and planning.
  • Strong attention to detail.
