Main Responsibilities

  • It is part of your role to understand and disseminate/communicate all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures to the colleagues.

  • Update and maintain a complete Training Matrix for your department.
  • Hold monthly meetings with all colleagues to assure they have a forum to voice any concerns or challenges and share departmental and hotel information.
  • The Chef de Partie’s mission is to take full responsibility for the food quality & presentation of the corresponding section in his outlet and on demand to assist other areas of the culinary operation.
  • Supervise his kitchen section and cooperate with the other sections within the kitchen.
  • Responsible to comply at all times with the standard quality requirements, stock management and techniques.
  • The Chef de Partie should monitor and control the food quality, setup/ presentation/buffet presentation and timely delivery of the dishes in corresponding outlet.
  • Ensure plating guides are up to date and distributed appropriately.

Requirements

  • Customer Focus –Mature and outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills and a great understanding of cultural sensitivities.
  • Providing Leadership –  Positive and enthusiastic to direct and inspire a team. Be a role model to all colleagues.
  • Organized and DetailedDetail oriented and uses resources and time effectively by monitoring progress and results at all times. Excellent ability to multi task and work in high pressure environment.
  • Experience as Chef de Partie in a high volume restaurant with highest levels of service is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel or free standing restaurant environment.
  • International work experience in at least two of the following regions: Asia, Europe, North America and preferably Middle East.
  • Ability to work long hours with a strong focus on operational excellence.
  • Able to empower colleagues and communicate clearly with peers, subordinates and superiors.
