Mandarin Oriental is seeking a Manager, Commercial Go-To-Market for its commercial sales and marketing division to maximise revenue growth and shape the future of business, creating value for key hotel owners and partners. We are looking for an individual with strong commercial acumen and a revenue, operations or finance background to formulate growth strategies into business plans. The Manager, Commercial Go-To-Market will be comfortable using quantitative and qualitative analysis, strategic insights and critical thinking to unearth growth opportunities, solve complex challenges and build senior buy-in. They will be responsible for driving best-in-class business planning processes, including market intelligence, opportunity sizing, revenue optimisation and test and learn processes. The individual will have exceptional analytical, problem-solving and consultative skills and is naturally creative, entrepreneurial, and collaborative. They look to raise the bar on growth educate not only across Mandarin Oriental but the luxury travel industry at large.


  • Business planning: drive business planning to create lasting commercial value, perform market and competitor analysis, and implement robust performance processes. Evolve the business by identifying opportunities and risks and partnering across teams to revenue growth.
  • New ventures: central role in taking new ventures from concept to MVP via business model development, customer proposition design, research / testing and delivery of profit levers to take Mandarin Oriental forward in the luxury lifestyle space.
  • Strategic projects: lead new projects to solve customer challenges, including technology and data-enabled initiatives to drive growth, effectiveness and productivity.
  • Commercial reviews: facilitate the commercial review process with analytical and strategic thinking to enable sound planning and decision-making in monthly, quarterly and annual meetings.
  • Stakeholder engagement: own communications across the Commercial leadership and broader functions / property leads, inspire advocacy by influencing without authority.
  • Organisational excellence: drive a comprehensive, strategic goal process for Commercial colleagues globally, addressing learning & development needs, talent reviews and the leadership agenda.
  • Ambassador: Be an ambassador for Mandarin Oriental’s customer-first approach. Build a reputation within the organisation as the trusted advisor, speak comfortably to senior executives.



  • Minimum of 5 years in a leading consultancy or corporate with a demonstrable track record in commercial planning, commercial strategy, business performance to drive revenue growth in challenge market conditions [most likely in a consulting firm or commercial / finance team]
  • A working knowledge of commercial and financial performance levers including conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis with storytelling to deliver intelligence and presentations that influence varying audience levels.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management ability to build influence by asking questions.
  • Dynamic and creative problem-solving skills, with an ability to think outside of the box.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex analysis to technical and non-technical senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in an agile and constantly evolving environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to drive and inform strategy.
  • Fluent English; Mandarin an advantage.
