As a Preopening Concierge You will need to be:

  • Confident, composed, approachable and able to motivate fellow colleagues under
    pressure
  • Passionately knowledgeable of restaurants, bars and attractions in London
  • Flexible in supporting the Front of House operations in the lobby area
  • Hold a current full driving licence to support the valet team when necessary

This is a vital period, when the success of transition is important and equally allows you to be an integral part of the small early preopening team to gain a valuable skill set.

SCOPE OF POSITION

To ensure complete guest satisfaction during their experience at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London by providing information and services in order to both meet and exceed our guest expectations.

Additional Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working efficiently with all departments as one team to ensure the full satisfaction of both guests and residents at all times, whether they are in-house or elsewhere by providing services and information that meet or exceed their expectations.
  • To ensure that Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London grooming standards are maintained - ensure that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and in good condition, ensuring that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and demonstrate a professional image for our residents and guests.
  • To ensure you are performing your daily tasks in accordance with Mandarin Oriental Standard Operating Procedures. This includes responsibility for dealing with all desk-based procedures and processes.
  • Assisting residents with obtaining services related to their apartments, in accordance with the lease, and other contractual arrangements
  • Providing detailed information regarding any services required, such as dining reservations, concert, sports and theatre tickets, travel arrangements, reservations, maintenance, personal trainers, massage therapists.
  • To maintain accurate and timely records of guests and residents requests and other work tasks, ensuring that relevant information is communicated to colleagues and/or management, as required.
  • To be acquainted with all guests, residents and regular visitors, and to greet them by name whenever possible, in a polite, professional and personable manner. To announce visitors to residents and management.
  • To keep all informational databases updated and current at all times.
  • To assist the Door and Bell teams to perform their duties when necessary to ensure consistency in delivering service.
  • To perform any other reasonable requests as directed by your manager.
