Duties and Supporting Responsibilities:

  • Meet with customers regularly and handle catering sales calls and catering leads
  • Assist in handling important functions and support the Event Team and Sales Team in handling of large scale events.
  • Ensure all enquiries are handled promptly and efficiently according to guidelines set up by DOSM / DOS.
  • Meet with key banquet customers to build relationship.
  • Work with Room Sales team to generate / maximize revenue, hotel rooms and F&B.
  • Responsible for achieving budget and revenue generation.
  • Responsible for revenue forecast and monthly critique based on the timeline set by DOSM.
  • To provide training to the sales team in handling of events and in catering sales.
  • Constant review of pricing and selling strategies to ensure that competitiveness of pricing and offer.
  • Coordinate with Food & Beverage on all menus, packages and relay the information to sales team.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly report and other reports according to business needs.
  • Ensure that all prices are competitive and that the contracts are renewed timely.
  • Assist in the preparation of Catering Projections.

 

Job Requested:

  • Must have a minimum of 6 years' experience in a role of either Conference Services or Catering Sales experience in a luxury hotel property.
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage operations and catering operations required.
  • Knowledge of Delphi is highly desirable.
  • Must have mathematical skills, computer software aptitude and some hotel operation knowledge.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to meet all expectations and standards of a luxury hotel property.
  • Must be self-reliant and self-motivator.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a high paced environment.
