Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Proactively assisting or delegating assistance to owners and crews with arrivals and departures, berthing contracts, payments and other services as they may reasonably request.
  • Ensuring the office and marina environment is clean and tidy at all times, and taking whatever action is required to maintain this.
  • Managing repairs and maintenance of a routine nature and, where reasonably possible, ensuring that these are carried out by engineering department, 3rd Party contractors or the marina colleagues.
  • Overseeing licensees and tenants, ensuring due performance of their obligations and re-negotiating agreements.
  • Negotiating berth sales, and proactively increasing physical and financial occupancy
  • Overseeing that all vessel operations within the marina are performed in a safe and seamanlike manner, adhering to marina regulations.
  • Liaising as required with planning and construction consultants and/or contractors of any new project in or adjacent to the marina
  • Identifying areas of facility and operational improvement and researching best product/solution to satisfy the required improvement
  • Educating marina users and ensuring they obey the Marina Rules.
  • Assisting at special events, exhibitions, and promotions, on and off site.
  • Holding a complete knowledge of the marina facility, including the member and yacht names.
  • Knowledgeable about all VIPs in-house, yacht arrivals and special events and personally greeting all concerned
  • Ensuring due process is applied to visiting boats, payments, forms, etc.
  • Overseeing boat owner requests and complaints in a polite and efficient manner, gives further instructions to the relevant staff if needed to ensure customer satisfaction and maintains a record of all requests received from all guests.
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Is always present in all the public areas and produces reports as required.
  • Keeps a critical eye on the marina from a client perspective to ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
  • Keeps the Senior Management updated on the actual atmosphere of the marina and moods of the guests to ensure the provided services meet the expectations
  • Fulfilling all reporting requirements for HSE, incidents and near miss
  • Act as principle Marshall for emergency incidents
  • To ensure work-supplied phone is always available to assist Duty Manager or clients, including out of business hours.
