Duties and Responsibilities

  • Together with the Area Director of Commercial Strategy (ADOCS) implement the agreed rate structure and strategy for all market segments.
  • Direct all sales activities for sales managers and ensure that they meet the goals of the marketing plan and those of the Measurable Results System.
  • Establish and maintain effective employee working relations both within the department and with other departments.
  • Attend selected trade and travel functions, i.e. trade shows and local hotel and Tourist Association meetings to promote sales and image for the hotel.
  • Analyze and review market changes with the Area Director of Commercial Strategy (ADOCS) and implement program with the sales team to meet these changes, i.e. changes to the segments, inflation, or competitor initiatives.
  • Maintain close relationships with all key decision-makers both in local and international markets.
  • Organize and accompany familiarization site inspection trips with major clients.
  • Regularly entertain major clients of the hotel.
  • Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in the major marketing areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, andwritten communications.
  • Supervise Associate Director of Sales, Sales Managers,
  •  Ensure up-to-date Infor / Delphi Sales and Catering profiles.
  •  Responsible for executing the annual training plan for the sales department and ensure that all members of the sales team have completed the Legendary Sales Training Program.
  • Conduct wholesale negotiations and finalize contracts with tour operators and agents in co-ordination with the Area Director of Commercial Strategy (ADOCS) and ADOS (Groups & Travel Trade).
  • Explore new markets and potential accounts for follow-up by sales managers.
  • Pay regular visits to all major accounts.
  • Work closely with the Area Sales Offices and RSOs ensure that the Measurable Results targets are achieved.
  • Analyze and evaluate client production with sales managers and implement sales action plans.
  • Provide feedback and market information to Area Director of Commercial Strategy (ADOCS) on changing market conditions, including trends on the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone, reading material and interaction with competitive hotel staff.
  •  Implement all sales action plans in the marketing plan.
  • Propose and initiate when approved, new series and products for our guests.
  • Fully responsible for the operation of the marketing department in the absence of the Area Director of Commercial Strategy (ADOCS) for MOIST.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in the luxury hotel industry; international experience preferred.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Turkish.
  •  Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and motivate his/her team.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
  • Possess high degree of stamina, agility, and flexibility.
