We need an Event Manager to weave Mandarin Oriental magic through our sales materials.

When you sell Mandarin Oriental, you’re not selling beds for the night; you’re selling an experience – one that begins in the lobby and spreads to our spa, to our restaurant, and ultimately to our bedrooms.  

As an Event Manager, you’ll be able to add a touch of glamour to your professional portfolio. After all, it’s a chance to work with one of the brands that define the city. To sell our hotel is to sell the spirit of Prague itself, so we need people who understand our philosophy and can translate it to our guests.  

You will be working within the Sales team, and you will deliver the highest level of service. As an Events Manager, you will:

  • Actively seeking opportunities on local Market and prospect the customers
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them
  • Handle and co-ordinate all confirmed meetings, events, gala dinners, special events (weddings, family reunions, non-residential events etc.).
  • Assist in achieving budgeted revenues in Sales, Conference and Banqueting in keeping with the annual budget and marketing plan
  • Offer administrative support to Sales Team and coordinate all functions bookings, as per bookings procedures, SOPs.
  • Handle and co-ordinate all enquiries for events in the hotels function room, food, and beverage areas
  • Attend and hold pre-service briefings for daily events         
  • Ensure that all enquiries are responded on the same day for Czech enquiries and within 24 hours for international enquiries and to co-ordinate the sending out of all function proposals
  • Handle work allocations in an efficient manner, ensuring that standards and guest expectations are maintained
  • Ensure that all group bookings have valid option dates and that the proposals are actively chased prior to or on the option date, as directed

You must be passionate about guest service, have a previous experience in the same role from a luxury environment and have outstanding interpersonal skills with an energetic and vibrant personality. You must have excellent communication skills, be fluent in English and Czech.
