About the job
We are looking for an inspirational General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring profitability, exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the hotel’s reputation for excellence. You will lead the team to deliver high quality levels of service, drive revenue, and uphold Mandarin Oriental's brand standards while maintaining financial efficiency.
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Strategic Leadership & Operations:
• Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring excellence across all departments.
• Develop and implement business strategies to maintain and enhance the hotel’s reputation and market position.
• Ensure compliance with Mandarin Oriental brand standards and local regulations.
• Maintain a strong presence on the property, interacting with guests and staff to enhance service excellence.
Guest Experience & Brand Management:
• Uphold the highest levels of customer service, ensuring a personalized, memorable experience for guests.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements based on reviews and surveys.
• Act as the face of the hotel, engaging with all guests and managing relationships with relevant clients.
Financial Management & Revenue Growth:
• Develop and oversee the hotel’s annual budget, ensuring profitability and cost control.
• Drive revenue growth through effective pricing strategies, occupancy optimization, and upselling services.
• Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams to implement strategies that attract high-net-worth clientele.
Team Leadership & Development:
• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and hospitality.
• Set performance targets and conduct regular evaluations for department heads and key staff.
• Promote staff well-being and professional growth to maintain high morale and retention.
Sales, Marketing & Public Relations:
• Oversee branding, PR, and marketing efforts to position the hotel as a leading luxury destination.
• Develop partnerships with travel agencies, influencers, and corporate clients to drive occupancy.
• Travel for sales calls in key feeder markets, attend industry events, luxury travel forums, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility.
