JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Group Corporate Finance Manager
Reports to: Director of Corporate Finance
Department: Finance, MOHG
Scope of the Role
- Review and appraise new business acquisitions, strategic investments and initiatives, and divestment proposals
- Perform investment return analyses on capex investment, potential M&A and strategic investment opportunities and make recommendations to senior management
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial projections and assess appropriateness of assumptions
- Manage due diligence process and identify key financial, operational, and business risks
- Collaborate with external consultants and internal departments to mitigate risks and resolve issues identified during execution of corporate finance projects and transactions
- Provide support on the negotiation of commercial terms of projects and transactions
- Prepare and review asset valuations
- Ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Corporate Finance.
Requirements
- Qualified member of recognized professional accounting or financial bodies (e.g. CPA, CFA)
- At least 5 years of solid experience in executing deals/transactions
- Experience in performing financial analysis and projections, capex review, ROI evaluation, asset valuation, etc.
- Adept at using Excel for financial modelling and analysis
- Project management experience, results oriented, organised, can prioritise effectively, and able to work independently
- Strong understanding of management accounting, statutory accounting, and tax implications on financial outcomes
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders
- Fluency in written and spoken English (Cantonese and Mandarin a bonus).
