Responsibilities

To identify problem areas as identified by guest feedback and take corrective measures.

To facilitate human resources development and maintain effective communication within the department and with other departments in the hotel.

To control and maintain efficient organization and work methods of the department.

Inspects guest rooms and all Housekeeping areas on a regular basis to ensure furnishings, facilities and equipment are clean and in repair, well maintained and replaced/refurbished as required.

Performs any other job as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.

Maintain company’s image portraying a neat and tidy appearance, following strictly the hotels’ personal hygiene policy.

Implements and controls Housekeeping including lost and found, key control, security and emergency procedures, health & Safety for employees and guests.

Organizes Rota, hours owing and overtime to suit the needs of the department.

Liaises closely with Front Office to be aware of late arrivals, early arrivals for the following day, VIP rooms and special requests. Reports, blocks, assigns all Out of Service and Out of order rooms working closely with Engineering and Front Office, updates Executive Housekeeper daily on status.

Listens to employee grievances and/or wishes and brings them to the attention of the Executive Housekeeper.

Gives feedback of employees work performance to the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.

Updates Room status and Guest discrepancies all the time and reports to F/O.

Reports any guest complaints/comments to the Executive Housekeeper.

Any other duties, which may be assigned to you from time to time as directed by Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.

 

Skills & requirements

Previous extensive experience in the same role in luxury properties will be an advantage

Fluent proficiency in English and excellent communication skills
