The IT Services Director, Operations, reporting directly to the Vice President of Technology, Asia, oversees technology initiatives across hotels and corporate offices within the Asia region.  These initiatives include various technology projects ranging from new technology deployments to the onboarding of new hotels.  The IT Services Director coordinates with IT Service Partners to ensure that MOHG technology standards are maintained.  This position may also serve as a technical escalation point for hotels in order to provide technical guidance and direction.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to hotels regarding all MOHG technology standards.
  • Oversee hotel internal and external audits.
  • Oversee information security operation tasks, such as patch and vulnerability management, security agents enforcement, and review ongoing vulnerabilities with IT Directors.
  • Provide IT technical orientation for new hotel IT Directors.
  • Oversee hotel penetration testing and rectification.
  • Communicate CAPEX and OPEX budget instructions in conjunction with Finance.
  • Manage corporate office help desk team and oversee IT Support for Regional/Corporate offices.
  • Manage maintenance for computer room in HK office.
  • Closely work with global IT team and lead global IT projects deployment in Asia.
  • Manage vendor relationships with regional technology partners.
  • Provide IT technical support to new builds and renovation projects in Asia.
    • Provide the latest technical guidelines and train IT consultants when requires.
    • Review IT infrastructure design and ensure it meets group IT standards.
    • Review IT infrastructure tender technical proposal and ensure the response is aligned with the design and meet group IT standard.
    • Provide training to the awarded contractor on MOHG standard configuration and provide guidelines.
    • Provide IT technical orientation for new IT Directors.
    • Provide technical support to build the pre-opening office. 
    • Provide technical support for penetration test and rectification.
    • Oversee follow-up action items with the hotel IT team after hotel opening.


  • 5 or more years’ overall IT operations experience, preferably with a global company.
  • Strong knowledge of the technology used in hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree related to technology and computer science is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in network and system design, implementation, and administration.
  • The candidate must be a technology generalist who is capable of understanding various technology designs and implementing technical solutions across a broad range of technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server solutions.  Domain and email migration experience preferred.
  • Experience administering network routers, switches, firewalls, and LAN/WAN design.
  • Experience implementing and managing layer 2 and 3 switched networks carrying voice, video and data.
  • Experience implementing and managing Wi-Fi networks, including a solid understanding of the latest 802.11 standards, radio heat maps, network topology.
  • Experience in virtualized server deployment and administration.
  • Professional Certifications: Microsoft (MCSE), and Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) preferred.
  • Understanding of PCI DSS and applicable security controls.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, and possessing good interpersonal & problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing remote teams and IT service partners.
  • Willing to work out of normal business hours to accommodate global team calls when necessary.
  • Ability to travel as required.
