Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee leisure reception and retails, male and female changing rooms, pool and beach outdoor areas, fitness and wellness facilities, kids facilities, sports grounds and respective offices and back of house areas
  • Act as Manager on Duty for daily leisure operations
  • Ensure operational flow and discuss any issues
  • Responsible for overseeing both the service and appearance of the leisure areas, ensuring LQE’s are fresh and well practiced at all times
  • Follow up on special requests and VIPs and dealing with dissatisfied or disgruntled guests
  • Ensure that mistakes are corrected and coach the staff member on the procedures that were performed correctly and those that were performed incorrectly
  • Creating an effective schedule that meets the needs of the leisure operations as well as works around the hours of the colleague’s availability. Verify accuracy of input in Spa Soft and shift hour assignments
  • Reviewing the Spa Soft for the day and the week to ensure that everything is booked correctly and efficiently for revenue maximization.
  • Reading through the essentials e-mails that deal regarding spa, meetings, groups, and VIP’s. Also, replying to guest, vendor, sales and colleague emails
  • Creation and review of SOP’s in line with MOHG standards and operational needs
  • Preparation of monthly Leisure team training plan
  • Design and execute training for Leisure team as required
  • Review that SOP’s have been taught by Supervisors and ensure standards have been met
  • Ensure that each new staff member have been trained in all of the training modules
  • Ensure that all Departmental Learning Checklists are completed for each Leisure colleague
  • Ensure that all positions are well trained in the LQE’s and Pillars
  • Training personnel to be able to explain all Leisure programs 
  • Ensuring that all accounting procedures are followed and monitor guest charge and recollection.

Qualification and Competencies required:

We are looking for a candidate having a degree in the hospitality / sports / leisure field with previous experiences in the Leisure/ Recreation/ Spa Department, preferably in a five star international hotel. You must also have fluency in both written and spoken English and positively contribute to sales activities thereby maximizing revenue along with the ability to solve problems effectively. Computer knowledge is a must.

The ideal candidate will be a positive and proactive individual with an outgoing, charismatic and approachable character, high aptitude for customer care, strong leadership skills and with the capability to motivate and guide. Planning and organization skills as well as drive for results are key competencies.
