We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team at Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech!

The Marketing & Communications Manager responsibilities include:

Brand Identity

  • Oversee the creation and management of the brand identity for the hotel and all its outlets.
  • Ensure adherence to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) corporate identity guidelines for all promotional materials and advertising.

Public Relations

  • Serve as Brand ambassador internally and externally, and as hotel spokesperson with external media.
  • Works closely with the Director Marketing & Commerce to design and execute PR strategy for the Hotel to ensure positioning as one of the top hotels in the destination in the local, national, and international media, showcasing its unique selling propositions and highlighting MOHG’s competitive advantages.
  • Implement tactical media relations activity in line with hotel’s business needs and objectives.
  • Manage the Hotel’s Press Office.
  • Direct crisis communications partnering with MOHG Corporate Communications team.
  • Produce hotel’s monthly internal Public Relations reports

Customer Relationship Management 

  • Maintain frequent contact with the hotel’s guests and clients through direct marketing activities.
  • Works closely with the Director of Marketing & Commerce to develop an overall annual direct marketing plan.
  • Establish, maintain and expand the hotel’s database.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Commerce to develop strategic brand partnerships with relevant brands in the luxury, lifestyle and arts and cultural world.

Photography / Videography

  • Plan, organize and oversee all photography and videography sessions for the hotel to ensure the right assets are in place for media, digital and collateral use. These include major collateral photography, food and beverage shots and press release photos.

Digital Marketing / E-Commerce

  • Ensure up-to-date, brand-appropriate web site copy for the hotel.  Liaise with appropriate corporate and property colleagues to update the hotel site regularly.
  • Oversee web traffic analysis to create and execute a successful digital marketing strategy.
  • Liaise with global digital marketing team to coordinate pay-per-click, meta search and email marketing campaigns to increase direct digital bookings to the hotel.
  • Provide local expertise about hotel seasonality, forthcoming events, local attractions, and competitor activity in order to optimize return on paid search marketing.

General Duties

  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Commerce to prepare and update the annual Sales, Marketing and Digital Communications Plan
  • Attend MOHG’s annual PR roadshow events as outlined in the hotel’s Marketing plan.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the management from time to time.

 Requirements

• Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the similar position, preferably in a luxury setting.

• Flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Have excellent communication and organization skills.

• Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation. 

• Must be detailed oriented, excellent computer skills necessary.

• Have a pleasant, friendly, and helpful manner.

• Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are necessary.

• Work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.

• Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.

• Able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest.
