The Hotel

With 326 guest rooms and 31 suites, Mandarin Oriental, Miami is located in Brickell Key and is a prime location for both business and leisure guests.  It is an urban resort with a Miami’s only private beach and Florida’s only Forbes triple 5-star property.  

 

Strategic Objective

Develop, implement, maximize, monitor and evaluate the hotel's communication objectives, strategies, including advertising, social media, public relations, graphics and collateral, to support the Objectives established in the Annual Marketing Plan.

 

Organizational Structure

The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Digital Communications.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of MARCOM in the needs of the area.
  • Direct relationship with advertising agencies, PR and media.
  • Help create internal and external information and communicational material about new services, packages, special promotions, corporate news, etc
  • Develop and update a complete database of local and international press, media, local marketing contacts.
  • Responsible for responding to all comments on our social media pages requesting information about the company.
  • Responsible for generating interesting content of the company for the media and social media following the marketing calendar.
  • Responsible for updating the marketing calendar monthly.
  • Responsible for working with all areas of the company to create promotions and events to increase sales, bring new audiences and increase the brand awareness of the company through press releases, internal and external communication.
  • Update monthly news about spa and restaurants to be promoted in local database EDMS.
  • Assist with the recompilation of monthly information and news for Spa & restaurants EDMs.
  • Assist with the design and texts of all the hotel's promotional material.
  • Work with local companies of the hotels profile to generate special promotions and co-branding actions between both brands.
  • Ensure that all collateral material of the company is correctly published and up to date, manage inventory of all collateral material of the company and where it has been published.
  • Assist with our monthly report of hotel’s press publications.
  • Assist and coordinate all requirements of photo shoots, recordings and interviews, ensuring that they are carried out following the guidelines of the company. Ensure that these activities generate positive and broad coverage for the company.
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee photography sessions that are held at the hotel's facilities. These include collateral photographs, gastronomy, and photos for the press.
  • Responsible that our Photography folders are organized and up to date.
  • Assist with influencers and VIP room amenities.
  • Responsible to coordinate influencers monthly collaborations at our hotel.
  • Constant review of all web pages where hotel information appears.
  • Assist in coordinate our “Guest Experiences” activities at the hotel.
  • Responsible for keeping all the hotel communicational material updated.
  • Participation in creative concept of important activities in the hotel (Valentine's Day, Christmas, New Year’s, etc
  • Follow-up and create purchase orders and invoices from the marketing area.
  • Presence at events when they are outside working hours (very specific cases).
  • Evaluate and be aware of our direct competition.
  • Responsible for our monthly Social Media Report.
  • Responsible for keeping track of complimentary nights given by marketing.
