For us, first impressions are everything. We are looking for a Night Manager to deliver a seamless guest experience from the second a guest steps through our doors. 

Mandarin Oriental, Prague is housed within a former 14th century monastery, and it is both a five-star luxury hotel and a wonderfully preserved piece of history. Blending contemporary design with period features, we offer a truly unique hotel experience. All 99 rooms at Mandarin Oriental, Prague, reflect a sense of tranquillity and sophistication. Bright large spaces and open windows offer breezy views of the courtyard and city. 

For some hotels, a cheerful smile and polite tone might be enough to be a Night Manager. For us, being the face of our hotel calls for much more.  

First and foremost, being a Night Manager is about emotional intelligence. We need people who can read our guests in the blink of an eye: are they excited and ready to talk? Or tired from their flight and looking for calm?

Of course, it is also about how you present yourself. We are looking for a Night Manager who can wear our fan pin with pride. And finally, it is about pulling together, because a great deal of teamwork goes into creating the perfect stay. For example, if a guest mentions an early start, our whole team can come together to make that easier for them – a well-timed wake up call, a luxury car ready and waiting. It is a finely tuned orchestra, made up of exceptional soloists. 

Play a key role in the Front Office team to support the luxury experience our guests from around the world enjoy at one of the Prague’s best hotel.

As a Night Manager you will:

  • Ensure a consistent knowledge of our Legendary Quality Standards and to assist the Front Office Manager in their implementation, ensuring that our guest experiences meet or exceed Mandarin Oriental Standards    
  • Conduct handover briefings, ensuring consistent communication and keeping the reception team well informed at all times
  • Monitor rooms status together with Housekeeping, Reservations and Maintenance in order to handle guests requirements effectively
  • Handle booking levels with reservations in compliance with our yield management strategies, ensuring appropriate room allocations of our guests
  • Monitor arrivals and departures, in order to handle guest requests and complaints with specific, personalised attention
  • Monitor daily, rooms requirements by anticipating opportunities to up-sell and matching these with guest expectations
  • Monitor all guest-in-house accounts, ensuring the delivery of accurate bills promptly and efficiently upon check out
  • Monitor cashier closures and float balances, highlighting any discrepancies to the Front of House Manager

You must be passionate about guest service, have a previous experience in similar role from a luxury environment and have outstanding interpersonal skills with an energetic and vibrant personality. You must have excellent communication skills, be fluent in English. EU working permission needed.
