We are looking for an Outlet Manager to join our pre-opening team at Mandarin Oriental Costa, Navarino.

Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino will be located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.

The beachfront resort will be part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It will comprise 99 guest rooms, including 48 pool villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with five restaurants and bars.

The Outlet Manager will be responsible for the leadership of the service and culinary team of the designated outlet and driving service excellence and deliver business objectives and financial success:

Other responsibilities will include:

  • To manage and direct the outlet’s service team daily to ensure the operation of the department delivers consistent excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • To drive kind and generous service in always treating both guests and colleagues in a respectful manner while and treasuring our colleagues as much as our delightful guests.
  • To ensure active and regular communication with the team through daily line ups, 1:1’s and monthly full departmental team meetings.
  • Daily liaison and partnership with the kitchen team to share information, best practice and ensure a harmonious relationship between culinary and service teams, resolving any concerns after and not during service.
  • To ensure appropriate processes and systems are in place to deliver both revenue and profit margins as per budget projections
  • To actively support the HR team in the recruitment and retention of restaurant colleagues.
  • To attend all internal and hotel meetings required according to meetings schedule.
  • To contribute to the development of product/offering to ensure that the outlet continues to evolve, improve, and prosper.
  • Approve menus, prices, and promotional events for all outlets to maximize revenue generating opportunities.
  • To be cognisant of quality & cost control through close liaison with the Purchasing & Logistics Director.
  • Having an overview of the extensive wine and beverage stock and conduct regular spot checks after the stocktake to ensure all MOHG P&Ps are followed.
  • Partner with the HR & L&D to ensure all MOHG programs are actively supported and attended by the team.
  • Partner with the (A)DoFB and Finance Director to ensure costs are properly managed and departmental margins achieved.
  • To ensure service and Back of House areas are always kept clean and work is conducted according to the MOHG standards of FLHSS.

  • Must be able to relate to all levels of Guests and management.
  • Can handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Be able to consistently delight and satisfy our Guest.
  • Very good communication skills are essential.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, and extensive service knowledge.
  • Experience in the administration of Food and Beverage promotions.
  • Excellent forward planning and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in performance management.
  • Local and international food and beverage awareness.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in Greek is preferred.
