To assist the Pastry department in the production of high quality pastry goods, whilst working within the team and participating in all aspects of the Pastry department.

Works with all pastry specialist items including tempering machines, beaters, mixers, ice cream makers, baking ovens etc.

Daily Duties

  • To produce all pastry items required on a daily basis, efficiently and within time constraints
  • To ensure that all required functions are communicated to everyone within the Pastry department
  • To assist in the planning of daily and weekly work activities
  • To develop recipes as requested.
  • To maintain hygiene cleanliness standards of the department, including equipment and uniform.

    Periodic Duties

  • To be flexible with regards to shift allocations
  • To participate in external events such as competitions, gala events, charity events.
  • To assist with departmental training.

    Occasional Duties

  • To assist in the general kitchen areas
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
