We are recruiting a Pastry Sous Chef & Chef de Partie


Main responsibilities :

The Sous-Chef is responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef in the management of the pastry brigade.

He/she must maintain the quality, service and product standards. In addition, he/she replaces the Pastry Chef when the Chef is absent.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of tasks related to these responsibilities:

  • Ensure the production of excellent quality dishes
  • In collaboration with the Pastry Chef, discuss the customers' impressions of the dishes with the room managers
  • In collaboration with the Pastry Chef, participate in the handling of any customer dissatisfaction
  • Control the delivery of goods, quality, freshness, quantity and costs
  • In the absence of the Pastry Chef, establish daily schedules
  • Continuously train employees
  • Communicate daily with the Restaurant, MOBar, Room Service and Banquet Managers
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in the development of new dishes in collaboration with the Restaurant, MOBar, Banquet and Room Service Managers
  • In the absence of the Pastry Chef, organize a daily pre-service meeting with the Restaurant service brigade

Job Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience in a luxury hotel or establishment of the same category   
  • Very good French and English language skills
  • The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for service, lots of flair and creativity
  • You will have exceptional inter-personal, management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
