Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth running of the Sports, Recreation, and Pool & Beach service on a day to day basis to achieve the highest possible levels of guest satisfaction.
- Support company’s philosophy and company culture through the use of Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement
- Support company’s philosophy and company culture through the use of Departmental Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
- Support company’s philosophy and company culture through the use of Guiding Principles and D.E.L.I.G.H.T. as part of ensuring Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement
- Has complete knowledge of the products and services offered by the resort.
- Maintains the authenticity of the Sports, Recreation, and pool & beach services.
- Ensure that the poolside cleanliness, ambiance and service are as per standards.
- Must follow all Standards and Procedures as taught by legendary trainers, Departmental trainers and Fitness & Wellness Manager.
- To ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout pool & beach
- Report dysfunctional equipment to the Recreation Supervisor.
- To maintain inventory of supplies for the operations of the Pool & Beach.
- To attend daily line-ups, weekly and monthly Fitness & Wellness meetings.
- Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe environment using proper safety techniques.
- Works closely to promote our Spa offering to ensure that we maximize guest satisfaction and Hotel revenue by enabling our guests to experience our Spa.
- Maintain a strong working environment with the other departments.
- Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed when collecting of charging fees for Pool & Beach services.
- Keep yourself updated with all guest bookings for recreational activities.
- Ensures that guest history records are updated at all times in coordination with the Recreational Management team.
- Takes ownership of guest’s requests and needs and ensures immediate action as appropriate.
- Advises Recreation Supervisor of all guest feedback and unusual matters.
- Attends training sessions as required.
- Responsible for the upkeep and the cleanliness of the swimming pool, beach and all areas of the department as per the standard operating procedures.
- Ensure that liability waiver form is signed by guests going on experiences.
- Ensure adequate par stock is maintained in recreation department and requisitions where necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
- First Aid and Pool Res-ponder Qualifications are preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience within the same role.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working within a 5-star hotel is preferred.
- Ability to service guest/member needs effectively in an outdoor environment.
- Knowledge on Pool & Beach safety standards and able to extend this knowledge via training.
- Understanding of Food and Beverage hygiene standards.
- Ability to support with Pool & Beach events is preferred.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and to deliver superior customer service.
- Ability to work long hours with a strong focus on operational excellence.
- Ability to understand the flow of service and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic money handling skills, including using POS systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop rapport with guests/members to deliver superior customer service.
- Ability to understand effective approaches of communication with different individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
- Able to communicate clearly with peers and senior management.
- Pleasant and polite, must be able to effectively communicate with guests on the telephone.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Verbal and written communication skills in Arabic or other languages are preferred.
