Preopening Duties And Responsibilities

You will have to be comfortable engaging with our Residents and guests on non-security matters as well as the other daily duties that come with the role. You will need to:

  • Be familiar with security procedures on an active building site
  • Be flexible in supporting the Front of House operations in the lobby area
  • Be able to demonstrate Concierge skills while being a visible point of contact for guests
  • Hold a current full driving licence to support the valet team when necessary

    This is a vital period, when the success of transition is important and equally allows you to be an integral part of the small early preopening team to gain a valuable skill set

Additional Duties and Responsibility 

· To have a working knowledge of the following legislation:

  • Civil Trespass
  • Use of Force
  • Immigration (Hotel Records) Order
  • Innkeepers Act
  • The Licensing Act
  • Theft Act
  • Offences Against Person Act
  • Criminal Damage Act
  • Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005
  • PACE

· Be proficient in obtaining witness statements and writing incident reports.

· Record all relevant incidents on the MO reporting platform.

· Comply with the Code of Practice for Security Staff.

· To be trained in First Aid emergency techniques, pool safety and fire safety.

· Investigate, administrate, and report all accidents with an emphasis on incidents as legislated by RIDDOR.

· Conduct bag and locker searches only in accordance with company guidelines.

· To conduct Valet parking for guests and residents.

· To carry out any other reasonable request as directed by your manager.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

· To be aware of, and comply with, safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Company H & S Manual, as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your workplace.

· To be aware of and comply with Food Acts.

· To wear any appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Hotel and Residences.

· To report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to the Hotel procedures.

· To ensure any accidents to colleagues, guests or visitors are reported in accordance with the hotel and residences procedures.

· Attend 6 monthly statutory fire training and be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning, fire, health & safety.

· To attend any training deemed appropriate by your Manager.

Any other reasonable request as required by your manager appropriate for this position and to comply with all the MOHG policies and procedures.
