We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead the Restaurant Operation at one of London’s hottest openings in 2022, The Aubrey.

The Aubrey is a home-away-from home for local and global guests alike, this new concept is a collaboration between Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London with Hong Kong-based group, Maximal Concepts. Designed as a bar & Japanese izakaya, the venue has 132 seats and one private dining room. The Aubrey offers a journey of a hungry mind that takes guests on an adventure of innovative cocktails, Japanese flavours and Asian ingredients. In the Aubrey our guests can experience the energy of a night out in Ginza through exceptional drinks being offered from its distinctive bar and London’s first ever omakase cocktail experience. We serve different interpretations of traditional izakaya dishes through dinner and a weekend brunch. 

Situated within Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, a luxury five-star hotel located in Knightsbridge, London’s most iconic address. Situated in the heart of the city and on the doorstep of Hyde Park, it is the definitive destination for a luxury escape in the capital.

In this role you will be a hands of leader who knows how to train and develop a team to deliver memorable experience. You will have excellent communication skills and will be responsible for working closely with Mandarin Oriental management and the team at Maximal Concepts to drive the restaurant strategy forward. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the restaurant operation, you will manage and monitor work quality and guest satisfaction and manage the departments P&L.

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant General Manager who will be able to delight our guests and colleagues. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience as General Manager/Director of a medium-high volume restaurant, experience operating an independent/free-standing outlet and previous or current experience in London/UK. Experience in Asian cuisine is preferable but not required.
