For some hotels, a cheerful smile and polite tone might be enough to be a Rooms Coordinator. For us, being the face of our hotel calls for much more. 

First and foremost, being a Rooms Controller is about emotional intelligence. We need people who can read our guests in the blink of an eye: are they excited and ready to talk? Or tired from their flight and looking for calm?

Of course, it’s also about how you present yourself. We’re looking for a Rooms Coordinator who can wear our fan pin with pride. And finally, it’s about pulling together, because a great deal of teamwork goes into creating the perfect stay. For example, if a guest mentions an early start, our whole team can come together to make that easier for them – a well-timed wake up call, a luxury car ready and waiting.

It’s a finely tuned orchestra, made up of exceptional soloists.

About the role

•           To handle booking levels with reservations in compliance with our yield strategy ensuring appropriate room allocations to our guests.

•           To perform any other duties or projects assigned by the Front Office Manager or House Manager.

•           To monitor all guest-in-house accounts to ensure the delivery of an accurate bill in a timely fashion upon check out.

•           To support reservations department in their absence by handling enquiries in compliance with the daily yield strategy to ensure service at all times.

•           To follow up and clear any credit risks

•           To follow up, clear and chase any open balances, both on the day and historical.

•           Attend the monthly credit meeting along with the Front Office Manager

•           Assist with billing and invoices requests

•           To prepare the room allocations in advance taking into consideration all guest preferences and reservation details

•           Assist in covering reception breaks and covering the desk as per business needs

•           Daily run data completion report and to ensure we have all relevant information

•           To review and submit an upsell incentive summary to accounts in according to the monthly deadlines, to ensure all team members are correctly paid their upsell incentives
