It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will keep the guest’s perspective in mind at all times and carry out the mission of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.


Scope of Position


Support the sales team in generating rooms business from existing and potential accounts, coordinating customer requirements with other departments in order to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and profitability for the hotel. 


Organizational Structure


The Sales Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Sales.  















Duties and Responsibilities


  • Major responsibilities    


    • Support the Sales Manager or Director of Sales in daily tasks such as answering requests for proposals.
    • Update all Sales Force accounts and contact profiles to maintain a proper profile of all travel industry accounts.
    • Attend weekly sales meetings and operational meetings.
    • Support sales team in organization of familiarisation visits, site inspections and roadshows when required.
    • Assist the Sales Manager or DOS in the preparation of a Sales trip, pre and post.
    • Conduct on site inspections for potential clients.
    • Update presentations when required.
    • Maintain stock of office supplies.
    • Maintain stock of gifts for sales calls and business trips.
    • Make departmental purchase orders and stock requests.
    • Review all VIP arrivals with the sales manager and coordinate welcome cards, amenities and allocations.
    • Participate in any projects as and when assigned by the direct superior.
    • Assist the Sales Managers and DOS in preparation of Sales documents and reports.





  • Mandatory
    • Minimum two years experience in a luxury hotel preferably in Sales or Front Office.
    • High flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
    • Must possess ability to coordinate with multiple tasks.
    • Must have excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
    • Spanish and English
    • To liaise with other departments such as operations or purchasing
