Sales Manager

  • Prague, Czech Republic
  • Sales & Marketing Division
  • Full time

Mandarin Oriental, Prague is housed within a former 14th century monastery, and it is both a five-star luxury hotel and a wonderfully preserved piece of history. Blending contemporary design with period features, we offer a truly unique hotel experience. All 99 rooms at Mandarin Oriental, Prague, reflect a sense of tranquillity and sophistication. Bright large spaces and open windows offer breezy views of the courtyard and city.

It is another world. A world of oriental luxury and the most attentive service. A world that is all about our guests.

We need a Sales Manager to weave Mandarin Oriental magic through our sales materials.

When you sell Mandarin Oriental, you’re not selling beds for the night; you’re selling an experience – one that begins in the lobby and spreads to our spa, to our restaurant, and ultimately to our bedrooms.

As a Sales Manager you’ll be able to add a touch of glamour to your professional portfolio. After all, it’s a chance to work with one of the brands that define the city. To sell our hotel is to sell the spirit of Prague itself, so we need people who understand our philosophy and can translate it to our guests.

You will be working within the Sales team, and you will deliver the highest level of service. As a Sales Manager, you will:

  • Together with the Director of Sales, to implement agreed rate structure and strategy for all market segments.
  • To establish and maintain effective working relations both within the department and with other departments.
  • To attend select trade and travel functions, i.e. trade shows and to promote sales and image for the hotel.
  • To plan and where appropriate, execute sales trips to major market areas, reporting new potential markets that should be considered.
  • To provide feedback and market information to the Director of Sales relating to changing market conditions, including trends in competition by carrying out sales solicitation, telephone, reading material and interacting with competitive hotel staff. Also, to analyse and review these changes with the Director of Sales  implementing programmes with the Sales team to meet these changes in all market segments.
  • To maintain close relationships with all key decision-makers both in local and international markets.
