Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, hotel total revenue goals and quality targets. The Sales Manager supports the Director of Marketing and Commerce in establishing the resort within local and international markets and securing business for long lasting relationships with key partners and accounts. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the company culture daily to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of Mission Statement.
  • Together with Director of Marketing & Commerce, agrees and implements rate strategy & actions for the assigned segments and territories.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relations both within the department and with other departments.
  • Handles qualify, proposal and follow up of transient, group and event enquiries and actively engages with clients to maximize business conversion.
  • Ensures a sales approach in every lead, customizing offers and ensuring that a luxury and positive attitude is always guaranteed.
  • Supports Event Department in handling groups and events.
  • Participates in external sales appointments, sales trips, fairs and tradeshows when appropriate and relevant for every market segment.
  • Participates in local events and sales calls, including property site inspections and familiarization trips.
  • Handles relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, event and wedding planners and corporate accounts.
  • Demonstrates proactivity to bring back former clients and acquire new ones.
  • Follows internal financial policies, manages and verifies client payments and outstanding balances.
  • Uses systems to pull out reports and analyzes figures and data consistently.
  • Enriches existing database, ensuring time efficiency and data accuracy as per MO policies.
  • Attends daily departmental meeting.
  • Follows company grooming policies.

Specific Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Italian. Other languages are a plus.
  • Creative thinking and bespoke approach to client requests and needs.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.
