Security Supervisor

We are looking for a Security Supervisor to join our pre-opening team at Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino.

Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino will be located on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese, one of the most unspoiled and breath-taking landscapes in the Mediterranean, and 45 minutes’ drive from Kalamata International Airport.

The beachfront resort will be part of the sustainable resort destination of Costa Navarino, a well-established tourism destination which includes 3 other resorts. It will comprise 99 guest rooms, including 48 pool villas, all with outdoor terraces and sea views, along with five restaurants and bars. The Security Supervisor will be responsible to assist the Security Manager take full responsibility for all aspects of security, risk prevention, health and safety, fire safety for hotel guests, colleagues and assets by the displaying the highest level of integrity, preparedness and response for security events at the resort.

It is the mission of this position that the incumbent to assist the Security Manager to take full responsibility for the protection of Hotel Guests, Colleagues, Assets (tangible and intangible) and other resources by developing and maintaining an organization that is responsive to the current, continuing and immediately foreseeable security, safety and health/hygiene requirements of the Hotel.

The Security Supervisor reports directly to the Security Manager. The position of Security Supervisor, Security Shift Leader, Life Guards and Security Officers report directly tot he Security Manager.

The Security Supervisor is responsible for the following:

• The Security Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Security Manager in the planning, coordination, organization, colleagues supervision and quality controls for the Security operation in order to effect optimum protection of Guests, Colleagues, Assets (Tangible and intangible). The Security Supervisor shall drive the security operation to the standards and quality established by the Security Manager.
• Ensure that the Security Operation runs strictly and accordingly to the prescribed standards as laid out by the Security Manager in his/her absence
• To carry out any other reasonable request as directed by your General Manager/ Resort Manager/ Management.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar role preferred
• Ideally certified for Security in Greece
• Must speak Greek and English fluently
• Experience in dealing with a multi-cultural environment and people oriented
• Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills whether verbal, written or non-verbal
• Flexible and with high energy level
• Must be able to work independently
