  • Leads and manages the department in accordance with Mandarin Oriental Standards and set hotel objectives
  • Monitor day to day work and projects are on track and to provide guidance to ensure team colleagues are able to proceed with project tasks efficiently and confidently
  • Ensures that departmental levels of KPIs are in line with hotel objectives
  • Always lead by example
  • Oversees monthly departmental expenses to ensure they are in line with annual budget
  • Interview and recruit colleagues as per job specifications and form an efficient and motivated team
  • Motivate, train, supervise, evaluate and discipline Marketing Operations colleagues
  • Attend managerial meetings if requested and participate actively in achieving productive results
  • Oversee the creation and management of the brand identity for the hotel and all its outlets.
  • Ensure adherence to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) corporate identity guidelines for all promotional materials and advertising.
  • Serve as Brand ambassador internally and externally, and as hotel spokesperson with external media.
  • Works closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to design and execute PR strategy for the Hotel to ensure positioning as one of the top hotels in the destination in the local, national and international media, showcasing its unique selling propositions and highlighting MOHG’s competitive advantages.
  • Implement tactical media relations activity in line with hotel’s business needs and objectives.
  • Direct crisis communications partnering with MOHG Corporate Communications team
  • Produce hotel’s monthly internal Public Relations reports
  • Maintain frequent contact with the hotel’s guests and clients through direct marketing activities.
  • Works closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop an overall annual direct marketing plan.
  • Establish, maintain and expand the hotel’s database.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop strategic brand partnerships with relevant brands in the luxury, lifestyle and arts and cultural world.
  • Propose and develop social media campaign (for brand building and for tactical offers) to help achieve social media exposure and to drive followers
  • Identify  new advertising opportunities on social media and eCommerce
  • Market & evaluate Madarin Oriental Geneva's online presence, including search engine optimization, partners, links, online promotions and premium partners’ website updates
  • Provide local expertise about hotel seasonality, forthcoming events, local attractions and competitor activity in order to optimize return on paid search marketing.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the management from time to time.


  • Have a minimum of  5 year experience in the similar position, preferably in a luxury setting.
  • Flexible schedule is required, including evenings and weekends
  • Have excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation.
  • Must be detailed oriented, excellent computer skills necessary.
  • Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are necessary.
  • Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
