We need an experienced and established Senior Sales Manager - The Americas to weave Mandarin Oriental magic through our sales engagements.

About the role

As Senior Sales Manager – The Americas you will be responsible for the smooth running of multi-segment Sales for The Americas region for Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London.

The scope of the position will include:

  • To maximise sales & marketing activities so as to ensure occupancy, rate and yield objectives are achieved in accordance with sales & marketing plan
  • To be responsible for servicing all assigned corporate, travel trade and group accounts from The Americas, researching and developing new accounts, focusing on high rate business in line with the over-all sales and pricing strategies.
  • To maximise sales opportunities for suite business and corporate groups for US business.
  • To maximise sales for all other hotel revenue generating departments.
  • To achieve budgeted revenues in Groups, Conference and Banqueting in keeping with the annual budget and marketing plan.
  • To handle all Group and Event enquiries at enquiry handling stage for the US market: Proposing, following up, contracting and carrying out site inspections to achieve high levels of conversion.
  • Ensuring a detailed handover to the Event Managers outlining the previous discussions, opportunities to delight and billing details.
  • To ensure effective communication with other hotel departments to enable the smooth operation of in-house groups and functions.
  • To represent Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London and conduct Sales trips to appropriate countries to drives business for the property. 
  • To monitor sales activities in the market and build effective relationship within the industry and across the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group sales team.
