About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the Finance Department, the Accounts Payable colleague works closely with the Finance Supervisor and Management Accountant to support the implementation and maintenance of effective internal control systems across income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities for both the hotel and residences. The Accounts Payable colleague reports directly to the Director of Finance.

 

As Accounts Payable, you will responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments for suppliers in respect of goods and services rendered.

  • Knowledge of the process of receiving and processing invoices within the Hotel and operating within this system accurately and efficiently.

  • Statements and supplier accounts reconciliation on a monthly basis.

  • Ensure when paying suppliers that all invoices have full supporting back up such as purchase orders, delivery notes, authorisation etc.

  • Keep tidy and efficient filing system of all invoices, payments, and reports.

  • Keep accurate and up to date record / log of invoices.

  • Ensure that all month end journals and Accruals are completed within the required deadline.

  • VAT reconciliations after month end.

  • Assisting in providing the relevant month-end / year- end information within the required deadlines.

  • Dealing efficiently with all telephone queries to and from suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within the hotel industry, bringing a strong understanding of hospitality finance operations alongside proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced Accounts Payable environment. They will also be proficient in accounting systems, with experience using SUN Systems considered an advantage.
