About the job

The Assistant IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the hotel’s IT infrastructure, guaranteeing business continuity and providing high‑quality technical support to both internal users and guests.
The role will also act as Head of the Department in the absence of the IT Manager.

The position reports to the Director of IT.

Key responsibilities

Daily operations & technical support

  • Provide first‑level (L1) technical support to internal users and guests.
  • Execute 24/7 support and escalation procedures to ensure operational continuity.
  • Install, configure and maintain network printing, corporate software and file services.
  • Administer users, groups, permissions and security policies.
  • Manage the full user lifecycle (Joiner / Mover / Leaver).
  • Diagnose and resolve LAN, WAN and Wi‑Fi connectivity and performance issues.
  • Install, configure and maintain IT equipment (PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals).
  • Monitor backups, system interfaces, server hardware health and system logs.
  • Maintain a detailed and up‑to‑date IT asset inventory.
  • Ensure proper protection and compliance of all technology assets.

Infrastructure, security & continuity

  • Install and maintain network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, access points).
  • Perform firmware, hardware and software upgrades according to maintenance plans.
  • Analyse and apply security patches and vulnerability mitigations.
  • Execute and document security procedures in line with audits and compliance standards.
  • Participate in Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DRP) plans.
  • Support telecommunications infrastructure and IP telephony systems.
  • Support corporate mobile devices (iOS / Apple).

Coordination & reporting

  • Document procedures, configurations and incidents.
  • Coordinate and supervise external vendor interventions.
  • Work autonomously and proactively in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Provide out‑of‑hours support when required.
  • Escalate critical issues to the Regional VP IT & T when necessary.
  • Attend daily meetings with the IT Director.
  • Perform any other reasonable IT‑related tasks assigned by the IT Director.

Health & Safety

  • Comply with MOHG health, hygiene and safety policies and legal requirements.
  • Report technical or structural issues according to hotel procedures.
  • Participate in mandatory training, including fire‑safety training.

Salary. Salary range 30,000€ – 33,000€ gross per annum, paid in 14 instalments.
