About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou, within the Marketing & Communications Department in Guangzhou, the Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager assists the Director of Marketing & Communications in implementing the hotel’s digital marketing and brand communications initiatives, including social media management and support for promotional activities, to enhance the hotel’s brand visibility while ensuring alignment with MOHG’s brand standards.

The Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications.

As Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

          Assist the Director of Marketing & Communications in developing the annual digital marketing plan, covering the hotel website, social media platforms and other relevant channels.

•              Manage and maintain the hotel’s official website.

•              Manage the hotel’s online promotion channels and social media platforms, ensuring all content and visual assets remain updated and aligned with MOHG’s brand standards.

•              Develop and implement digital marketing initiatives in line with MOHG’s and the hotel’s marketing strategies; monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimisation.

•              Maintain familiarity with both domestic and international social media platforms and assist with copywriting and proofreading for online promotional materials.

•              Be familiar with and strictly adhere to MOHG’s Brand Communications Manual and brand guidelines.

•              Assist in maintaining the hotel’s media assets, including press releases, images and videos, ensuring all content is up to date and aligned with MOHG’s brand standards.

•              Assist in monitoring relevant media channels and compiling media clippings related to the hotel.

•              Assist in organising media events and related promotional activities for the hotel.

•              Support internal photo shoots by arranging the necessary preparations according to the photographer’s requirements.

•              Perform any other duties as assigned by hotel management.

As Assistant Marketing & Communications Manager, we expect from you:

          Diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Tourism or related field preferred.

•              Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience in international hotels.

•              Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.

•              Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

•              Strong creativity and innovative thinking.

•              Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
