The Role

The Bartender is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal experience by providing efficient preparation of all beverages, maintaining a clean and comfortable work environment, working efficiently, and enhancing the hotel’s reputation for excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Service Pillars of Legendary Quality Experiences.
  • To ensure that relevant grooming standards are followed, both personally and by the team, reflecting a professional image for our guests 
  • To attend pre-service briefings for daily updates, ensuring tasks are followed up efficiently prior to guest’s arrival
  • To follow instructions given by Restaurant Manager and Beverage manager and his/her Assistant
  • To offer food and drinks menu at the bar, ensuring the smooth operation of the bar
  • To ensure that bars are properly equipped and stocked
  • To ensure that the bars are always clean and all assets are properly maintained
  • To ensure that the standard of beverage service is maintained
  • To establish good guest contact and communicate guest complaints
  • To report comments and suggestions from guests to Restaurant Manager
  • To assist Beverage Manager and Assistant in daily routine work                          

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or Bartending preferred
  • At least 1–3 years of bartending experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, upscale bar, or fine-dining environment
  • Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non‑alcoholic beverages
  • Demonstrated skill in mixology, drink presentation, and consistency of quality
  • Excellent guest engagement and communication skills with a genuine passion for service excellence
  • Ability to deliver personalized, discreet, and anticipatory service aligned with luxury brand standards
  • Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation, health, and safety regulations
  • High standards of personal grooming, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining composure and service standards
  • Team‑oriented mindset with willingness to support colleagues during pre‑opening and operational setup
  • Openness to training, learning Mandarin Oriental service culture, and adapting to new SOPs and concepts
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during opening phase
