About the job

Bartenderはホテル38階オリエンタルラウンジでのバーテンダー業務を担当します。全てのお客様にご満足いただけるサービスを提供できるように、そして実際のお客様の体験が、予想をはるかに超えるようなものである為に、ＬＱＥを念頭に置いてホスピタリティーマインドあふれるサービスを提供することに尽力します。そしてマネジメントから共有されたスタンダードに基づき、ゲストのご期待を更に超える事ができるようなサービスを提供する事が求められています。また、お客様からのスペシャルリクエストにも臨機応変に対応すること、常にワークステーションを綺麗に保つことも求められます。場合によってはスタッフの得意分野を加味した上で、特別なタスクを任される事もあります。

スーパーバイザー、アシスタントマネージャー、デパートメントヘッドにレポートをします。

This position is to work as the bartender at Oriental Lounge located on 38th floor. It is the mission and intent of this position that the incumbent will provide the highest level of customer service to all guests, to ensure the guest experience is one that is beyond the expectations of the guest and aligned with our Legendary Quality Experiences. The incumbent will provide service that goes beyond the guests’ expectations by anticipating their needs and performing service based on standards set forth by management. He/she will also be responsible for handling special requests and maintaining a clean and organized work station. Special tasks, which could be elaborated in a chart of responsibility can be assigned and will need to be executed to the best of the colleague’s ability. 

The Rank & File colleague reports to the Supervisor, Assistant Manager and Department Head.

As Bartender, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming at all times
• Wears designated uniform which are well pressed and in a good state of repair
• To ensure that the Fire Life Health Safety and Security company standards and HACCP Standards are maintained and carried out.
• To be fully informed and aware about all information concerning Food and Beverage outlets and hotel facilities of Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo
• Maintains a good knowledge of all hotel facilities and is able to answer guest questions in a quick, polite and helpful manner
• Handles guest complaints or problems promptly, ensuring that any resolved / unresolved incidents are reported to the manager in a timely manner
• Demonstrates security conscious behaviours in respect of guests, colleagues and hotel property / welfare and reports suspicious circumstances to the manager
• Attends meetings and training sessions that may be beneficial personally or to the operation.
• Support company's philosophy and company culture through the use of Pillars and Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.
• Assist Guest courteously and efficiently.
• Communicate with Kitchen for any guests’ special request and dietary requirements.
• To prepare the working station and side station assigned with sufficient Mise en Place.
• To maintain the back of the house neat, tidy, clean and safe.
• Continuously monitor his/her section for maximum guest’s satisfaction.
• To deliver the correct order to the guest.
• To carry out daily, weekly and monthly inventory.
• To welcome every guest in the appropriate manner.
• To wish each and every guest a warm farewell and thank them for coming.
• Assist and support all mandarin Oriental Tokyo colleagues as required

• ゲストのコンプレインを聞き、迅速な処理をするよう心がけるのと同時に、マネージャーに即座に報告をし、
  指示を仰ぐ
• ホテル敷地内の不審者や不審な行動、コリーグの問題と認識される行動などにアンテナをはり、
  マネージャーに報告をする
• オペレーションや自己を高めるためのトレーニングに積極的に参加し、自己を高める事に強い意欲を持っている
• Pillars, LQEにそって職務を遂行することにより、顧客満足度を上げ、会社が掲げるミッションステートメントを
  達成できるように尽力する
• ゲストに丁寧かつ効率的にご案内ができる
• ゲストの特別なリクエストに対し、キッチンとコミュニケーションを密にとり、お客様の求めていらっしゃるお食事を正確に提供できる
• ワーキングステーションならびにサイドステーションの整理整頓、ならびに的確にセットアップできる
• ＢＯＨエリアの整理整頓、日頃の清掃ならびに安全に使用することができる
• ゲストに最大に満足いただけるようにゲストの様子をモニターする
• ゲストに正確なお食事をご提供する
• デイリー、ウィークリー、マンスリーのインベントリーの実施
• ゲストを丁寧なマナーでお迎えできる
• ゲストを丁寧かつ温かいおもてなしの心をもってお見送りできる
• マンダリン オリエンタル 東京の一員としてチーム一丸となりお互いに助け合いができる

As Bartender, we expect from you:

• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Japanese language.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
• Have a minimum of 2 years experience in similar position, preferably in luxury environment.
• Demonstrates a high standard of verbal communication, social skills and up-selling skills.
• Have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• 日本語の読み書きに問題の無い方
• 英語でコミュニケーションを取る事ができる方
• 年間を通じてフレキシブルにシフトがくめる方
• 最低でも同様のポジションで2年間働いた事がある方、とくにラグジュアリーな環境での職務に
  就いた事があるかた
• 口頭でのコミュニケーション、特にお客様を相手にした丁寧な日本語でのコミュニケーションがとれる方。
  アップセリングスキルに長け、社交性のある方。
• 一度にたくさんのタスクをこなす事ができる、マルチタスキングな方
