Position Summary

The Chef de Rang is responsible for managing a designated section of the restaurant, ensuring a smooth, attentive, and personalized service. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining the highest standards of service and coordination with the kitchen and bar teams.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

  • Welcome guests in a warm, professional, and courteous manner
  • Present menus, provide detailed explanations, and make recommendations
  • Take and process orders accurately
  • Deliver a refined and attentive table service
  • Anticipate guest needs and handle special requests
  • Address guest feedback or concerns with professionalism and care

Operations

  • Manage and organize a specific section independently
  • Ensure seamless communication with the kitchen and bar
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and service standards at all times
  • Handle mise en place, service flow, and table resetting

Teamwork

  • Supervise and support Commis de Rang
  • Assist in training and onboarding new team members
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and other departments

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in luxury hospitality
  • Excellent grooming and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in Arabic (Darija), French and English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
