Scope of Position 

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca within the Finance Department in Mallorca, the Chief Accountant is responsible for the supervision of all members of the accounting department and being able to assist or cover a position if needed. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Preparation of balance sheet entries and reconciliations as part of the month-end closing process 

• Preparation of the profit and loss statement as part of the month-end closing process 

• Ensuring compliance with local laws and procedures 

• Responsibility for adherence to and comprehensive understanding of all MOHG and hotel policies and procedures 

• Supporting department heads in making relevant and accurate financial decisions 

• Leading employees in the areas of income audit, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cost control 

• Creating reports and statistics for all internal and external areas and assisting in the development of processes 

• Supporting training on finance and accounting topics.
