Scheduled to open in 2026, this landmark development will feature 276 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites, offering a refined blend of contemporary design and timeless sophistication. The Role

The Chief Concierge at Mandarin Oriental, Makati will lead the Concierge team in delivering highly personalized, intuitive, and memorable guest experiences, reflecting the legendary service standards of the Mandarin Oriental brand. As part of the Rooms Division, this role is responsible for establishing concierge services and building a culture of excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Pre‑Opening & Service Establishment

  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of Concierge operations, standards, and procedures ahead of hotel opening
  • Curate signature guest experiences and destination offerings aligned with Mandarin Oriental’s brand positioning
  • Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Hotel Leadership to establish service concepts and guest journey touchpoints
  • Support pre‑opening activities including hiring, training, test‑stays, and operational readiness exercises

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Ensure exceptional, anticipatory service for all guests, with particular attention to VIPs, long‑stay guests, and repeat clientele (Fans of M.O.)
  • Act as the hotel’s principal destination expert, maintaining extensive knowledge of luxury dining, cultural, lifestyle, and entertainment offerings
  • Resolve guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency, ensuring memorable outcomes

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, coach, and inspire a high‑performing Concierge team
  • Foster a warm, service‑driven culture rooted in respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Set clear performance standards and conduct regular coaching and evaluations

Relationship Management & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local luxury partners, artisans, cultural institutions, and service providers
  • Ensure partnerships reflect Mandarin Oriental’s standards of quality, discretion, and exclusivity
  • Represent the hotel professionally within industry networks and guest‑facing engagements

Operational & Administrative Management

  • Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and inventory control
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety guidelines, and brand standards
  • Maintain accurate records, guest preferences, and service trends using hotel systems

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years of luxury Concierge experience; Chief Concierge experience preferred
  • Pre‑opening hotel experience is a strong advantage  
  • Excellent command of English; additional language skills an asset
  • Les Clefs d’Or membership or eligibility highly desirable
