As a Director of Spa & Wellness, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

  • Develop and execute the Spa & Wellness business strategy, aligning with the hotel’s overall objectives and Mandarin Oriental brand standards.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of bespoke, guest-centric wellness experiences that reflect the Group’s vision of crafting exceptional and memorable moments.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost control through effective budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and retail optimization.
  • Oversee daily spa, fitness, and wellness operations, ensuring the highest standards of service quality, cleanliness, and safety are maintained.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the Spa & Wellness team, fostering a culture of excellence, engagement, and continuous development.
  • Design and implement holistic wellness offerings, including signature treatments, fitness programs, and wellness journeys tailored to market trends and guest expectations.
  • Ensure all Spa & Wellness services are delivered in accordance with Mandarin Oriental’s luxury standards, values, and operational guidelines.
  • Monitor guest feedback, proactively resolve concerns, and continuously enhance service delivery to achieve high satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Partner with Rooms, F&B, Marketing, and Sales teams to create integrated guest experiences and maximize spa utilization and revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with all hygiene, health, and safety standards while promoting a culture of wellbeing for both guests and colleagues.

As a Director of Spa & Wellness, we expect from you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Wellness, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Professional spa or wellness certifications are an advantage
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in luxury spa or wellness operations
  • At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role within a 5-star luxury hotel or resort
  • High proficiency in English; Mandarin is highly preferred to support local guest engagement
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization
  • Strong operational management skills, including spa treatment standards, hygiene, and health & safety compliance
