About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, London within the Sales & Marketing Team, the Events Executive is responsible for the smooth running of Events.

As a Events Executive at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • To handle and co-ordinate all contracted groups and events in the hotel.
  • Where applicable, to ensure that all enquiries are responded to on the same day for UK enquiries and within 24 hours for international enquiries and to co-ordinate the sending out of all function proposals.
  • Where applicable, to send out event contracts, confirm billing arrangements and deposit requirements as per terms and conditions.
  • To uphold the hotel’s credit policy.
  • To ensure that all the information is accurately obtained prior to start of the event, arrival times, menu and wine selections, audiovisual requirements etc.
  • To issue Business Event Orders by the pre-determined day the week prior.
  • Promptly issue any late additions and amendments.
  • To have full knowledge of all hotel facilities and prices and hotel’s primary competition.
  • To maximise opportunities for up selling.
