Mandarin Oriental, Makati is an upcoming 5-star luxury hotel set within the lush Ayala Triangle Gardens, at the prestigious corner of Paseo de Roxas and Makati Avenue. Scheduled to open in 2026, this landmark development will feature 276 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites, offering a refined blend of contemporary design and timeless sophistication. The Role 

The Executive Housekeeper will play a pivotal role in the successful pre-opening and ongoing operations of Mandarin Oriental Makati. This leader will be responsible for establishing world-class housekeeping standards, building and training a high-performing team, and ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, comfort, and luxury in line with Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service standards.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Pre-Opening Phase
    • Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and operating manuals.
    • Recruit, train, and onboard housekeeping team members.
    • Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of linen, cleaning equipment, and guest amenities.
    • Collaborate with project and design teams to ensure operational readiness of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Operational Phase
    • Lead and manage the housekeeping department, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet Mandarin Oriental standards.
    • Oversee daily operations including scheduling, inspections, and quality control.
    • Implement sustainability and cost-control measures while maintaining luxury standards.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    • Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.

Qualifications & Experience Profile 

  • Proven experience as Executive Housekeeper or senior housekeeping leader in a luxury hotel environment; pre-opening experience highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to train, motivate, and inspire a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of housekeeping operations, inventory management, vendor relations, and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on approach to operations.
  • Passionate about luxury hospitality and guest satisfaction, with a commitment to Mandarin Oriental’s values of respect, integrity, and excellence.
  • Strong collaborator across departments, fostering teamwork and seamless guest experiences.
