The Role

The Front Office Manager will be a key leader in the pre-opening and operational success of Mandarin Oriental Makati. This role is responsible for establishing and managing all front office operations, ensuring seamless guest arrivals and departures, and delivering Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service from the very first day of opening.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Opening Phase
  • Develop and implement front office policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard front office team members, including reception, concierge, and guest services.
  • Collaborate with project and design teams to ensure operational readiness of the lobby, reception, and guest service areas.
  • Coordinate with IT and systems providers to set up property management systems and guest service technologies.
  • Operational Phase
    • Lead and manage the front office team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
    • Oversee daily operations including check-in/check-out, concierge services, and guest relations.
    • Ensure smooth coordination with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to meet guest needs.
    • Monitor guest feedback and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and security standards.
    • Drive a culture of excellence, teamwork, and guest-centric service.

 

Qualifications & Success Profile

  • Proven experience as Front Office Manager or senior front office leader in a luxury hotel environment; pre-opening experience highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to train, motivate, and inspire a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of front office operations, property management systems, and guest service technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Passionate about luxury hospitality and guest satisfaction, with a commitment to Mandarin Oriental’s values of respect, integrity, and excellence.
  • Strong collaborator across departments, fostering teamwork and seamless guest experiences.
