Mandarin Oriental, Makati is an upcoming 5-star luxury hotel set within the lush Ayala Triangle Gardens, at the prestigious corner of Paseo de Roxas and Makati Avenue. Scheduled to open in 2026, this landmark development will feature 276 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites, offering a refined blend of contemporary design and timeless sophistication. Guests will enjoy an exceptional array of world-class amenities, including a curated selection of restaurants, a stylish bar, a serene pool area, and the brand’s signature spa. Designed to be a sanctuary in the heart of the city, the hotel promises an elevated experience for both leisure and business travelers seeking comfort, excellence, and distinction in Manila.
 

The Role

The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing high-quality visual materials that reflect the luxury brand standards of Mandarin Oriental. As part of the pre-opening team, this role plays a critical part in establishing the hotel’s visual identity in the market, ensuring all collateral aligns with brand guidelines while supporting marketing, sales, and operational initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Execution

  • Develop innovative and visually compelling designs for both digital and print platforms, including:
    • Marketing campaigns and promotions
    • Social media content
    • Website visuals and email marketing assets
    • Hotel collaterals (menus, brochures, signage, in-room materials)
  • Ensure all creative outputs are aligned with Mandarin Oriental brand standards and guidelines
  • Adapt global brand campaigns to suit local market needs

Pre-Opening Support

  • Support the development and rollout of all pre-opening branding materials and visual assets
  • Collaborate with pre-opening teams to produce creative materials for:
    • Press launches and media kits
    • Sales presentations and pitch decks
    • Hoardings, teaser campaigns, and opening announcements
  • Contribute to the creation of brand storytelling visuals that position the hotel as a premier luxury destination

Brand Consistency

  • Maintain consistency in visual identity across all channels and touchpoints
  • Ensure that all designs uphold the luxury positioning and aesthetic of Mandarin Oriental
  • Manage and organize digital assets, templates, and brand files

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Marketing, Communications, Sales, and F&B teams to understand creative requirements
  • Liaise with external vendors, printers, and agencies to ensure quality production of materials
  • Support corporate brand initiatives and coordinate with regional/global design teams when needed

Project Management

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high standards
  • Prepare final artwork and ensure files are production-ready before release
  • Assist in maintaining project timelines during the fast-paced pre-opening period

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in hospitality, luxury, or lifestyle brands
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and brand consistency
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects/Premiere Pro is a plus)
  • Knowledge of digital design best practices (web, mobile, social media formats)
  • Basic photography, video editing, or motion graphics skills are an advantage
