Scope of Position

The Housekeeping Runner is responsible for maintaining a clean, well-stocked section assigned. She/he is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and inventories all hotels delivering equipment and delivering the item according to the guest request.

Organizational Structure

The Housekeeping Runner reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Cover all floors assigned to and ensures that the hotel cleanliness standards are maintained in all areas of responsibility.
•    Maintain the general upkeep of assigned section of guest floors.
•    Recognize and report all missing, damaged or sub-standard furniture, fixtures and equipment.
•    In assigned guest floors is responsible for all furniture moving, drapes up and down, delivery of any guest requests, store rollaway beds and baby crib which tided at certain place.   
•    Distribute daily linen for rollaway beds.
•    Maintaining room humidifier and clean them by following schedule.
•    Collect all hotels delivering equipment and restore them when it picked up from the room.
•    Inventory and Maintaining hotel delivering equipment and report to Managers or Supervisors if found any item missing or broken.
•    Move and remove furniture in guest related as well as office space.
•    Supporting the guest laundry tagging, assorting, and delivering during laundry staff is not in operation.
•    Fulfil any guests’ request e.g. laundry pick-up, delivery of toiletries and any other requests.
•    Responsible to set all guest requested trace items prior to the guest arrive.
•    Supports room attendant in maintaining correct supplies and linen pars in closets and delivery of these supplies to the floors if needed.  
•    Ability to operate SMS, Hotsos and Mobile phones.
•    Follow up on commitments on a timely manner.
•    Inform the coordinator of any unusual events as soon as possible.
•    Perform any other reasonable duties as request by the department head from time to time.
