About the job

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily housekeeping operations, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet established cleanliness and hygiene standards. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms, managing schedules, and supporting the team to deliver excellent guest service.

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Supervise and assign tasks to room attendants, public area attendants, and other housekeeping staff.
  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas for cleanliness, maintenance, and proper setup.
  • Ensure adherence to hotel cleanliness and hygiene standards, including compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Train, mentor, and monitor performance of housekeeping staff.
  • Maintain housekeeping records including room status, inventory, lost and found, and staff attendance.
  • Coordinate with the front office and maintenance departments to ensure room readiness and timely repairs.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and feedback related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor usage of housekeeping supplies and linen; request stock replenishment when needed.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Support deep cleaning and special housekeeping projects as assigned.

As Housekeeping Supervisor, we expect from you: 

  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation purposes.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
